This is collection of a few life lessons. I represent both someone who possess endless strengths and inconsolable sadness. You will see a woman who was made to feel shame for her desires and yet had the courage to pursue them anyway. At 23, I thought I found Elizabeth. Now at 35, I long to rediscover her again. Back on the Grind
I walked into my parent's home in Pomona at 9:30 pm last night. I have worked all day starting at 7 am. Two days before that, I worked 5 am til 7:30 pm consecutively with evening rehearsals for choir at night driving in triangles all throughout LA traffic, Orange County, and San Bernardino. To keep it short, I am so EXHAUSTED.
It's been a while since I've worked this much. I was physically and mentally exhausted. For the first time this morning, I slept in for 12 hours. I've never done that.
The new job seems to be a good match for my personality. Although, I see very little in way of growth, I love the team. They work hard, many seem underutilized. In fact, I think some of our administrative staff are fairly intelligent in relation to others but perhaps they lack the drive or just seemed too comfortable in their current positions.
There some many things I already see I could change. It's way too early. It will take time. Processes, transitions, and the way we look at things in a bigger picture.
I've been exposed to so much personality in the last two weeks. Some were funny. Some were inviting. Some just drove me nuts. I just laughed away.
It's just nice to be back on the grind...to be part of something new...something a bit meaningful......to have something to look forward to Monday to Friday. I can finally afford to buy clothes. Wait til January :)
On a lighter note, I am also awarding a former organization almost $5000 in discretionary funds. I have found meaning in my life again :) I also have eaten quite a bit of "welcome" lunch and dinners lately..it's so nice
p.s. someone from the staff already found my online bio....i wonder what's next.
